It is important to pay the full amount of your bill each month. Any necessary adjustments will be incorporated into the following month’s bill.
You payment is due on the date indicated on your billing statement, or as defined by your bill type. If payment is not received within the grace period defined in your policy, coverage will automatically lapse.
List Bill Administration
For list bill clients, your detailed monthly bill(s) will be available on Sun Life Connect for you to review. You will receive an email notification when your bill is ready.
- Advanced bills will be produced 10-14 business days prior to the first of each month for all future coverage periods and will be available on Sun Life Connect. Payment is due on the 1st day of each month.
- Arrears bills will be available 15-19 business days after the first of each month for the prior coverage period. Payment is due on the 10th of the following month.

Calculating your monthly premium
If you are a self-bill client, you must calculate your monthly premium benefit and remit the correct amount each month. You can do this in multiple ways:
- Easily calculate and pay your premium through Sun Life Connect — watch our video to learn how >>
- Submit a summary statement – learn more about completing a summary statement >>
- Provide a monthly report from your payroll system that includes (by benefit tier) the number of lives, the rates, and the premium total in summary format.
Your self-admin statement and payment are due on the first day of each month. Please ensure to include your updated summary statement when remitting your payment.
